The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) has successfully concluded a one-week ICT training program for 30 staff members of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) in Kano State.
The training, held In Kaduna, aimed to enhance the participants’ administrative capacity through improved ICT skills.

CITAD’s Training Coordinator, Mr. Ahmad Abdullahi Yakasai, emphasized the importance of ICT in modern administration, highlighting its role in streamlining daily operations, enhancing teaching methods, and improving learning experiences.
This training marks the second time CITAD has trained Kano RAAMP staff in ICT skills, with previous trainings held for RAAMP staff from Bauchi, Sokoto, and Kaduna states.
The training also covered the use of emerging technologies for navigation, including Google Maps, to optimize routes, save time, and improve driving efficiency.
The Kano State Project Coordinator for RAAMP, Mr. Sunusi Saleh Suleiman, stressed the integral role of ICT in the project’s success, noting that staff must adopt ICT to remain relevant.
The Director General of Kano State RAAMP, Mr. Sarki Ahmad, encouraged participants to apply their newfound knowledge, emphasizing that the training is both an opportunity and a responsibility.

Participants expressed their commitment to applying the skills acquired to enhance productivity and contribute to the project’s success.
This training is part of CITAD’s efforts to boost ICT proficiency in administration, having previously trained RAAMP staff from various states.
