The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly KNHA, Alhaji Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended heartfelt condolences to the people of Nigeria following the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who died at the age of 82.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Falgore described the late leader as an embodiment of resilience, patriotism, and humility, qualities that defined his decades-long service to the nation.
“President Muhammadu Buhari’s passing marks the end of an era,” Falgore said.
“He was not just a president or military commander; he was a man of conviction, a statesman who inspired loyalty and debate, and whose leadership reflected a rare blend of principle and simplicity.”
Falgore acknowledged Buhari’s legacy as both a soldier and a democrat who transitioned from military leadership into civilian governance, leaving behind a political footprint shaped by discipline, modesty, and an unwavering belief in Nigeria’s potential.
“His life was a masterclass in leadership. He taught us that integrity matters, and that servant leadership is about sacrifice and selflessness. His enduring contributions to national development will continue to echo across generations.”
The Speaker further remarked that Buhari’s efforts in advancing national unity, infrastructure, anti-corruption reforms, and rural development reflect his commitment to uplifting ordinary Nigerians. His legacy, he added, is etched not only in policy but in the values he stood for.
“On behalf of the Kano State House of Assembly, I extend our deepest sympathies to his family, the people of Katsina State, and to all Nigerians grieving the loss of this towering figure. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, reward his service, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ameen.”
