Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to sustain the momentum of infrastructural development and good governance across the state.
He gave the assurance in Birnin Kebbi when leaders of the Zabarmawa Development Association (ZADA) paid him a courtesy visit.

Governor Idris, who described his election as divinely ordained, recalled that he had initially planned to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives but later joined the governorship race under the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he emerged victorious.
“Democracy is about delivering tangible dividends to the people. My administration will continue to improve welfare, security, and comfort for all citizens fairly, equally, and equitably,” he pledged.
The Governor expressed appreciation to the Zabarmawa community for their unwavering support, describing them as hardworking, trustworthy, and key contributors to the development of both Kebbi State and Nigeria.
Idris also disclosed plans to simplify the voter registration process to ensure that no eligible citizen is disenfranchised in the 2027 general elections.

He further announced a ₦50 million donation to the Zabarmawa community for empowerment and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Speaking at the event, the Minister of Budget and National Planning and former Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Atiku Bagudu, commended Governor Idris for transforming the infrastructural landscape of the state, noting that his achievements have earned him respect at both national and international levels.
Earlier, the Sarkin Zabarmawan Besse, Alhaji Bello, lauded the Governor for supporting the association, including the approval of new appointments for Ward and District Heads.
Similarly, the Sarkin Zabarmawan Kebbi and former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Samaila Abdulmumin Kamba, hailed the Governor’s purposeful and transparent leadership within just two years in office.
In recognition of his achievements, the Zabarmawa community conferred on Governor Nasir Idris the traditional title of “Garkuwan Zabarmawan Najeriya.”
