The Kano State House of Assembly KNHA has approved a ₦215,378,374,543,60 supplementary appropriation bill for the 2025 fiscal year.
The approval followed a request from the State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf which was formally presented to lawmakers during plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore.

Kano Assembly Approves N99.2 Billion Supplementary Budget
Announcing the passage of the bill, Speaker Falgore confirmed that the Assembly had approved the sum of ₦215,378,374,543.62 after rigorous deliberations and legislative scrutiny.

He emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency in the use of public funds.
“The House will closely monitor the implementation of the supplementary budget through effective oversight functions, ensuring that funds allocated to ministries and agencies are used judiciously for the benefit of the people,”
The supplementary budget was subjected to extensive debates and review by members before it sailed through the legislative process.

Yusuf Presents N99bn Supplementary Budget to cover wage others
With this approval, the Kano State Government is expected to deploy the additional funds to priority sectors in line with its development agenda for the year.
