Kano State Bureau of Statistics has successfully conducted the state’s workforce survey.
In a statement signed by the state statistician general Aliyu Isa Aliyu made available to newsmen.
The statement explained that, Kano State, with a population of at least 15 million
“has a total workforce of 160,166 staff at both the state and the 44 local government levels”
The statistician general hinted that the State government staff represent 40.73% of the workforce, totaling 65,236 employees
“while staff from the 44 local governments make up the largest portion at 59.27%, accounting for 94,930 individuals”
Aliyu pointed out that , a detailed workforce report, including registered formal private sector employees, will be made available soon.
