The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) Kano Office has conducted a preliminary inspection visit to the Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA).
This visit marks the beginning of the accreditation process for DMCSA to become a mega drug distribution hub and internship training center.

Pharmacist Hasiya Abubakar Ladan, State Officer In-charge of PCN Kano Office, led the inspection team.
She explained that the visit aimed to assess DMCSA’s compliance with regulatory requirements, with a view to issuing a Premises Registration Certificate.

The inspection is a precursor to a more comprehensive evaluation by a technical team from the PCN national headquarters in Abuja.
Pharmacist Ladan praised DMCSA’s leadership for managing the organization effectively and expressed satisfaction with the agency’s level of compliance.
Kano Government Holds Workshop to Revise DMCSA Law
DMCSA’s Director General, Pharmacist Gali Sule, received the delegation and conducted them on a tour of the warehouses and facilities.
He revealed that the agency had suspended drug production to upgrade its Drug Manufacturing Unit, as recommended by the PCN and NAFDAC.

Pharmacist Sule thanked the delegation for their visit and assured them of DMCSA’s full cooperation throughout the accreditation process.
