At the lunch in Abuja, Programme Coordinator of the PCNGI Micheal Oluwagbemi said beyond gas infrastructure, the the organisation was on a steady path to stabilize the implementation of the CNG programme.

We must ensure that “In an economy where gas is being used for various purposes, that it’s possible for someone to say, I want to make demands of gas for auto CNG, since it’s priced lower, and then go and use it for power. with the potential opportunity we need to do it in an organized fashion, create the proper market for autogas CNG, and also then develop the marketplace where people can make demand, pay for it, get their gas, use it and sell it, into the auto CNG market.”

“The Framework is to develop a national gas supply strategy that ensures uninterrupted gas supply and distribution options from different upstream. But if we don’t have a structured system, what we’ll have is half of that solution. And at the end of the day, it will fall like a pack of cards.”

She emphasized the holistic approach embedded in the framework. ” We want for everyone that wants to come onto the system to be very comfortable, to see how the line of sight on how to pick gas. Promote CNG supply incentives and encourage partner participation.” She added.

The Managing Director of Gas Aggregator Company, Mr. Chijoke Uzoho, said the framework marked the beginning of an impactful partnership.
