The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has
appointed two seasoned executives, Mr. Andy Odeh and Mrs. Morenike Adewunmi, to strengthen its leadership team.
Mr. Odeh assumes office as Chief Corporate Communications Officer, while Mrs. Adewunmi takes on the role of Chief Relations Officer.

With more than 30 years of professional experience, Odeh brings a wealth of expertise in communications, public relations, and business administration across the oil and gas, advertising, and broadcasting sectors.
He previously had a distinguished 26-year career with Nigeria LNG (NLNG), where he held senior leadership positions spanning corporate communications, community development, government relations, regulatory compliance, and external relations.
At NLNG, Odeh was instrumental in the company’s rebranding, oversaw the institution of the NLNG Prize for Energy Reporting, and championed one of the country’s most impactful micro-credit schemes for host communities.

He is an alumnus of the University of Jos, University of Lagos, INSEAD Business School, and the Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
Mrs. Adewunmi, a legal professional with over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, brings deep expertise in stakeholder management, advocacy, and regulatory compliance.
She served extensively at Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCIN), where she held pivotal roles including Regulatory Affairs Manager and Government Relations Manager.
In these positions, she successfully managed regulatory engagements, secured mandatory permits, and fostered strong relationships with the Presidency, ministries, and key agencies.
Renowned for her leadership, emotional intelligence, and ability to build resilient stakeholder networks, Adewunmi is also recognized as a subject matter expert on non-technical risks. She studied law at Olabisi Onabanjo University and the Nigerian Law School.
The appointments of Odeh and Adewunmi underscore NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to strengthening communications and stakeholder engagement as part of its transformation drive.
