The Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of several suspects and the recovery of firearms and ammunition in Lagos state.
According to the police, on February 7, 2025, a 24-year-old man, Wisdom Obi, was arrested by police from the Satellite Division while riding an unregistered motorcycle. Upon searching the suspect, a brownie pistol and 13 rounds of live ammunition were discovered concealed within an MP3 radio.

In a separate incident, four suspected traffic robbers – Kadir Ibrahim, Ifeanyin John, Oduwole Shola, and Rilwan Olajuwon – were apprehended by officers from the Orile Iganmu Division while attempting to rob passengers of a broken-down vehicle at the Ascon White Sand area of Orile Iganmu.
Additionally, the police are investigating a fatal confrontation between two individuals, Okeke Johnchris and William Wisdom, 33, at Falomo Square, Ikoyi, which resulted in the death of William Wisdom. The suspect, Okeke Johnchris, has been arrested and is currently in police custody.

The Nigeria Police Force is urging citizens to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities. The police also caution against violent confrontations and encourage individuals to seek proper redress through stipulated legal procedures.
