The Kano State Hospitals Management Board HMB has commenced the distribution of free uniforms to health workers in state-owned facilities.
Speaking while handing over the materials to the directors of the board heading the various departments in the health sector, the executive secretary HMB Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda pointed out that, the gesture is part of efforts by the present administration under the leadership of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf to promote quality healthcare delivery.

According to the Executive Secretary of the uniforms are a gift from the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Dr. Nagoda expressed his gratitude to the Governor for his support and consideration for the health sector.
He hinted that, the uniforms will be distributed according to department and profession.

“White uniforms will be issued to nurses, doctors, pharmacists, dental technicians, lab technicians, community health extension workers, and midwives. Nurses will also receive blue and maroon uniforms, while health attendants and maintenance staff will receive brown uniforms. Catering staff will receive off-white uniforms”
Dr. Nagoda emphasized that the uniforms are meant to promote a sense of identity and professionalism among health workers.

He warned that any health worker found selling their uniform or failing to wear it properly will face sanctions.
The distribution of uniforms is part of the Board’s efforts to promote sanity and professionalism in the health sector. Dr. Nagoda thanked the Governor for his support and cooperation, saying that it is exceptional and appreciated.
