In a spiritually uplifting and culturally rich celebration, Azhan Noor Islamiyya School in Sharada Phase 1, Kwanar Freedom, Kano Municipal, held its second Qur’anic graduation ceremony, proudly honoring 18 students who successfully completed their Qur’an memorization.
The event, marked by spiritual performances and inspiring speeches, attracted a diverse audience of scholars, community leaders, parents, and well-wishers from across Kano.

Their presence highlighted the importance of Qur’anic education and community support for Islamic learning.
The 18 graduating students captivated the audience with beautiful Qur’anic recitations, soul-stirring anasheed, engaging role plays, and a lively debate.
Their eloquence and confidence showcased the profound impact of faith-based education.
In his keynote address, Sheikh Muhammad Sani Khamis (Abu Haytham) highlighted “The Importance of the Qur’an and Pursuit of Sacred Knowledge”, encouraging parents to remain committed to their children’s spiritual development.
“Islamic knowledge is the foundation of a righteous and successful life,” he stated.
Hajia Sherifah Muhammad Ibrahim, Director of Azhan Noor Islamiyya, was specially recognized for her visionary leadership.
A special award was presented to the Director by Hakimin Sharada in recognition of her efforts.
In his remarks, Chairman of the School Management Committee, Sheikh Muhammad Bello Gyadi Gyadi commmended the dedication of teachers and parents.
Established in September 2016, Azhan Noor Islamiyya has grown from just 8 students to over 372 learners, with more than 70 Qur’anic graduates to date.
The School Operates Three Key Sections:
Islamiyya Classes: Monday – Thursday (2:00 PM – 5:30 PM)
Tahfeez Program: Saturdays and Sundays
Western Education Section
Despite its remarkable progress, the school continues to operate from a rented facility and grapples with inconsistent parental cooperation.
Yet, the resilience of the administration and commitment of the community remain unwavering.
Ustaza Ibraheem Abubakr Albany (Amosa), Secretary of the School Management Committee, urged parents to sustain their children’s Islamic learning beyond graduation.
“Qur’anic graduation is not the end—it is the beginning of a lifelong journey guided by divine knowledge,” he said.
