Samples of the counterfeit product have been reported to be found in Niger State, Bauchi State, and especially the Coordinated Wholesale Centre (CWC) in Kano state.
It is important to note that the counterfeiter has been tracked and arrested for further investigation and enforcement of regulatory sanctions.

All NAFDAC zonal directors and state coordinators have been directed to carry out surveillance and mop up the falsified product within the zones and states.
Importers, distributors, retailers, healthcare professionals, and caregivers are advised to exercise caution and vigilance in the supply chain to prevent the importation, distribution, sale, and use of falsified products.

All medical products must be obtained from authorized/licensed suppliers. The products’ authenticity and physical condition should be carefully checked.
