Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has directed all recently reassigned commissioners to complete their handover processes and assume their new roles by Tuesday, 17th December 2024.
The directive aims to ensure a seamless transition ahead of the next state executive council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 18th December 2024.

The announcement, conveyed through the Governor’s spokesperson, Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, highlighted the importance of timely handovers to maintain continuity in governance.
The Governor emphasized that all transition processes must be finalized before the upcoming council meeting to allow for effective implementation of his administration’s priorities.
“All commissioners affected by the changes are directed to hand over their responsibilities between Monday, 16th and Tuesday, 17th December 2024,” the statement read.

Governor Yusuf also called on the state executive council members to strengthen their teamwork, dedication, and commitment to serving the people of Kano State diligently.
This cabinet reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts to optimize the administration’s performance and deliver on its development agenda for the state.
