Kano State house of Assembly has commended the state owned tertiary institutions for their dedication in developing the sector.
The Chairman House Standing Committee on Higher education, Alhaji Abdulhamid Abdul disclose this while receiving the management of Aliko Dangote university of education, Saadatu Rimi college of education and Kano state polytechnic.
Addressing the vice chancellor and provosts Alhaji Abdulhamid said the three institutions performed in line with the states determination for the pursuit of academic excellence.
Those received include Provost Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education Abdullahi Gwarzo, and that of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, as well as Rector Kano State Polytechnic Dr Umar Faruk Abubakar and that of college of arts science and remedial studies Tudun Wada associate professor Yusuf Musa.
Speaking with parliamentary correspondents the provost College of Arts Science and Remedial Studies Tudun wada, Associate Professor Yusuf Musa hinted that the students performed well during the last IJMB examination.
He noted that the Institute executed some infrastructural development captured in 2024 budget.
