The Kano State Committee on Education Recovery Conference has submitted its report to the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, marking a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to transform its education sector.
The report is the culmination of a 2-day conference that brought together stakeholders from Kano and the global education community to discuss strategic education issues.

According to Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, Director of Public Enlightenment at the Ministry of Education, Kano, the committee’s report is a critical step towards addressing the challenges facing the state’s education sector.
The report is divided into five key areas, including an overview of the declaration of a state of emergency on education, a summary of the conference proceedings, and a description of The work plan development process.
The conference, which was initiated by the present administration, aimed to develop strategic interventions to improve the education sector in Kano.

The report contains recommendations for enhancing quality, access, equity, and performance in basic literacy and numeracy, as well as promoting girl-child education and teacher development.
The State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, assured the committee that the government would ensure full implementation of the report.
