Kaduna State Government says it will continue to partner Dariq International Schools to boost cultural heritage and moral values in the state.
Governor Uba Sani stated this during a cultural day focused on Hausa, Gbagyi, Igbo, Ibira, Kanuri, and Yoruba cultures, organised by Dariq International Schools in Kaduna.
Cultural values play a vital role in shaping students’ perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors.
By instilling cultural values, students can develop essential skills and competencies that benefit them throughout their lives.
According to Governor Uba Sani, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Students Affairs, Amina Sani Bello, the state government has allocated 25% of next year’s budget to education.
The Governor commended the Dariq International schools for promoting cultural values among students and urged other private schools to emulate this for the cultural development of the state.
A member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Mahmoud Ismail, explained that the house is working with the Executive to ensure the development of education in the state.
The Director of the Dariq International Schools, Abubakar Musa, commended the efforts of the Kaduna State Government, particularly in the area of education.
During the occasion, awards were given to the best cultural groups, with Hausa emerging as the winner, followed by Igbira and Gbagi in second place, Igbo in third place, and Yoruba in fifth place.
