    KSPVIB to Monitor Private Schools for Quality Assurance

    The Executive Secretary of the Kano State Private and Voluntary Institutions Board (KSPVIB), Comrade Baba Abubakar Umar, says all necessary arrangements have been concluded for the commencement of monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance visits to private schools across the state.

    The visits are scheduled to commence next week with the aim of ensuring that minimum standards and quality education are consistently upheld in all schools.

    Comrade Baba Abubakar Umar made this declaration during the Kano Sterling Schools Connect Tour Program, organized by the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS).

    He emphasized that education remains the top priority of the current NNPP-led administration as demonstrated by the Governor’s declaration of a state of emergency in education and a significant increase in budgetary allocation to the sector.

    “In 2024, education received 29.5% of the budget, which was further increased to 30.5% in 2025”

    Comrade Baba highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to reforming the education sector and called on all stakeholders including NAPPS, other associations, and private school proprietors to cooperate fully in achieving the goals of quality and functional education for all.

    The executive secretary noted that private schools They are a vital component of the education ecosystem, providing valuable services to a significant portion of the population despite various challenges.

    He also acknowledged the efforts of the Board under the current administration to enhance the quality of education across the state and reaffirmed its commitment to continued improvement.

    Earlier, the Kano State Chairman of NAPPS, Alhaji Imam Ahmad Zubairu, reassured parents that their children would receive quality education and sound discipline to prepare them for a successful future.

    He urged parents to continue fulfilling their responsibilities, including the timely payment of school fees, to support the continued progress of their children’s education.

    Alhaji Imam Ahmad Zubairu also pledged the full cooperation and maximum support of NAPPS for government initiatives and policies aimed at making Kano a role model in education development.

    Speaking on behalf of the Association of Model Islamic Schools (AMIS), Chairman Barrister Dr. Sa’eed Bello commended Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for his commitment to revitalizing the education sector for the benefit of the people of Kano State.
