The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano Strategic Command, has recorded another major success in the fight against drug abuse with the arrest of a suspected trafficker, Adamu Yusuf, aged 29.

Operatives attached to the NDLEA Kiru Area Command Kano intercepted Yusuf at Kwanar Dangora, along the Zaria–Kano Road, as he returned from Lagos with a large consignment of Tramadol.
He explained that, the suspect had hidden 7,000 capsules of Tramadol, weighing 4.1 kilograms, inside a 20-liter oil jerrycan in a bid to evade detection.
Sadik pointed out that, however, the NDLEA operatives uncovered the drugs through skillful search techniques, further demonstrating the agency’s expertise in tracking concealed narcotics.

The statement maintained that, according to the Kano Strategic Commander, ACGN A.I. Ahmad, the arrest represents a significant step in disrupting the supply chain of illicit substances and protecting communities from the dangers of drug abuse.
He commended his operatives for their diligence and professionalism, and also expressed gratitude to the NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), whose support and guidance he said have been crucial to the agency’s growing successes.
