Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II has urged Kano residents to remain peaceful and avoid violence, despite the recent sealing of his palace by armed security personnel.
In his Friday sermon at the Emirates Jummaat Mosque, he warned against falling into the traps of those who seek to create chaos and destruction in Kano.
The Emir emphasized the importance of patience and peaceful coexistence, even in the face of provocation.
He reminded his audience that Islam teaches the value of patience and that it is a key factor in achieving greatness.
He also expressed his confidence that, with patience, he will emerge victorious from the current challenges facing his throne.
It’s worth noting that this is not the first time Emir Sanusi has spoken out against violence and unrest in Kano.
In the past, he has expressed concern over the frequent clashes between supporters of different political parties and has blamed intelligence failure for the attacks on public and private properties.
The Emir’s message of peace and patience was well-received by the worshippers at the mosque, who listened to his sermon with rapt attention.
