The Kano State government KNSG has recognized Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba’s outstanding contributions to the state’s development with an Award of Excellence.
The award was presented by the Commissioner, Ministry of Women Affairs, Children and Disabled, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani, during the International Women’s Day celebration at the Kano State government house.

As the Technical Adviser to the Ministry of Women Affairs, Children and Disabled, and Chair of AMG Foundation, Dr. Magashi has provided invaluable support and guidance to the ministry, particularly in areas such as health, humanitarian affairs, and poverty alleviation.
Dr. Magashi’s dedication to public service and commitment to improving the lives of Kano’s underserved communities were highlighted during the award ceremony.
Some of Dr. Magashi’s notable achievements include leading reforms in the health sector, establishing agencies such as PHIMA, KHETFUND KUSH, and KNCDC, and crafting a transformative agenda for Kano State’s healthcare.
