The director Dawanau Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Dr Auwal Sani Salihu led a delegation to Gaya Emirs palace.
According to him, the visit was to raise awareness about mental health issues and strengthen the existing cordial relationship between the hospital and the community.
During the visit, Dr. Salihu and his team met with the Emir of Gaya Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulqadir and other members of the Gaya Emirate council to discuss the importance of mental health care and the services offered by the hospital.

The Medical Director expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to the hospital officials and looked forward to continued collaboration with the community.
The Emir of Gaya Alhaji Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulqadir described the visit as a significant step towards promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma.
