The senior special assistant to the president on special needs and equal opportunities Mohammed Abba Isa, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of youth development,Ayodele Olawande,where he presented a comprehensive report on the federal government’s commitment to disability inclusion in Nigeria.
During the meeting,discussions were centered on the future of Nigerian youth with emphasis on persons with disabilities (pwd’s) for greater inclusion in national policies and programmes.
Nigeria Moves to Enhance Disability Inclusion in National Policies
The high points of the discussion was the upcoming National youth conference, where the participation of young persons with disability were highlighted as important to fostering a truly inclusive dialogue on youth development.
Also, the official presentation of a document titled Nigeria ‘s commitment to disability inclusion 2024, Compiled by the office of the SSA to the president on special needs and equal opportunities.
The document outlines the strides made by the federal government in promoting disability inclusion aimed at enhancing the standard of living for persons with disability.
However, Abba Isa applauded the minister of youth development for his efforts in championing initiatives that empowers young people across the country.
