The Leader of NNPP, and the party’s Gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general election in Jigawa State, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, has responded to some statements made by the former Governor of the state, Sule Lamido, in his newly launched autobiography.
Mr. Ringim made the remarks while speaking at the party’s gathering held in the Taura Local Government Area on Wednesday.

Mr. Lamido recently launched his autobiography book titled “Being True to Myself”, which unbundled political and other happenings in Nigeria from the tail end of the 2nd Republic and military intervention, transition arrangements to the beginning of the 4th Republic.
In his response to the Book, Ringim accused Lamido of distorting facts and misrepresenting his political history.
“In the book, Lamido portrays himself as a trustworthy leader who never wronged anyone throughout his political career. which is far from the truth,” Ringim said.
According to him “Lamido has not been fair to himself and his political associates because there are several statements that are not true and need to be corrected ”

He said, in the Book, the former Governor accused former President Goodluck Jonathan of arresting his son, Abdulsalam Abubakar, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, among others, for alleged injustice against him.
Ringim also challenged Lamido’s claim that the PDP failed the Gubernatorial election in 2015 because of the candidate’s spiteful and malicious nature.
“He alleged that PDP failed the election because all my political allies left me during the 2015 general election where I contested as’s Gubernatorial candidate”
“To make it clear, the former Governor knows the roles he played for PDP to lose the election despite its strength and acceptability in the state”, Ringim stated.
