Mrs. Adedayo emphasized that the prayer sessions are part of a broader commitment to “invoke God’s guidance and support for the government’s efforts to ensure stable and sustainable food systems across the country.”
The declaration comes at a time when Nigeria, like many countries, faces rising concerns over food affordability, distribution, and climate-related agricultural challenges. Government efforts to address these issues have included policy reforms, subsidy restructuring, and new agricultural investments—but now, spiritual intervention is being added to the national strategy.
The Ministry has encouraged staff across all departments to actively participate and reflect on the critical role they play in ensuring the nation’s agricultural resilience and food system sustainability.
