The National President of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Comrade Shaman Sunday Panja, has urged the newly elected executives of the Hafedpoly Chapter to prioritize the welfare of their members.
This call was made during the swearing-in ceremony of the new executives, where Dr. Sabiu Ya’u Abdullahi, the National Treasurer, represented the National President.

Dr. Abdullahi commended the Congress members for their maturity and respect during and after the election, noting that the election was free and fair.
He also praised the electoral committee for their hard work and dedication.
The newly elected Chairman, Comrade Nurudeen Abdullahi Yusuf, emphasized the importance of better working conditions for employees, stating that this is crucial for optimal services and productivity.

He assured the Congress members that he would stand firm on matters related to members’ welfare and encouraged cooperation to move the Union and Polytechnic forward.
Comrade Yusuf also thanked the Institution’s management for not interfering with Union activities and commended the Rector, Dr. Sabo Wada Dutse, for his support.
