Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced its second petrol price reduction this month, slashing prices by ₦65.
This brings the ex-depot price down to ₦825 per litre, a significant decrease from the previous ₦890 per litre.

When combined with the earlier ₦60 reduction in February, the total price cut amounts to ₦125 in just 26 days.
According to the company, this new pricing means Lagos residents can expect to pay between ₦860 and ₦865 per litre at the pump starting Thursday, February 27.

Dangote’s move is seen as a relief measure, particularly with Ramadan approaching, and a step towards supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery policies.
This price reduction is part of Dangote’s consistent efforts to reduce fuel costs, following a ₦70.50 price slash in December 2024 to ease the cost of living during the holiday season .
The refinery has assured the public of ample fuel supply, boasting over 500 million litres in storage and a 650,000 barrels-per-day refining capacity.

Dangote’s fuel will be available nationwide at MRS Holdings, AP, and Heyden stations at competitive rates.
