The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an investigation into complaints surrounding the recent public auction of forfeited vehicles.
The auction, conducted by accredited auctioneers, aimed to provide a transparent platform for Nigerians to acquire forfeited assets.

EFCC explained that, several participants reported technical issues, including inability to access auctioneers’ websites, being shut out after submitting bids, and exorbitant bid prices.
He pointed out that, the EFCC has acknowledged these complaints and pledged to review them thoroughly.

Dele stated that, the Commission reiterated its dedication to transparency and fairness in disPosing of forfeited assets.
The EFCC emphasized that the public auction was designed to provide a seamless and transparent platform for millions of Nigerians.
The head of media maintained that the commission is awaiting the auctioneers’ report and will scrutinize genuine complaints.
