Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has officially assigned portfolios to the seven newly appointed commissioners who recently took their oath of office and allegiance.

The governor charged the new appointees to serve with dedication, integrity, and humility, emphasizing the need to meet the high expectations of the state citizens.

The new portfolios are as follows:

Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi, former Chief of Staff, will oversee the Ministry of Investment, Commerce and Trade.

AbdulKadir Abdulsalam, former Accountant General, will head the Ministry of Rural and Community Development.

Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiye will manage the Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs.

Dr. Gaddafi Shehu Sani will lead the newly established Ministry of Power and Sustainable Energy.

Dr. Dahiru Hashim will oversee the Ministry of Environment.

Dr. Ismail Aliyu DanMaraya will head the Ministry of Finance.

Nura Iro Ma’aji will manage the Ministry of Procurement and Project Monitoring.

Furthermore, 13 Special Advisers and 6 Permanent Secretaries also took their oath of office.

The Special Advisers include Yusif Jibrin Oyoyo (Students’ matters), Prof. Tijjani Muhammad Naniya (Emirates Council), and Dr. Ibrahim Musa (Health Services and personal physician to the Governor).

Governor Yusuf reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, emphasizing that the new appointments reflect his administration’s determination to identify and empower individuals who will help implement policies and programs that make a tangible difference in the lives of Kano State citizens.
