Kano State’s newly recruited counsel have been tasked with delivering exceptional performance in their roles.
This charge was given by Barr. Aminu Hussain, Special Adviser to the Governor on Justice and Constitutional Matters, at the closing ceremony of a 3-day induction training for 70 new state counsel.
Kano Distributes Millions of Naira Worth of Laws to State Counsel
The induction training, held at the Kano Institute of Anti-Corruption, Goron Dutse, marked the formal welcome of the new counsel into the state’s justice system.
Barr. Hussain congratulated the new counsel on their appointment and active participation in the induction process.
According to Barr. Hussain, the large number of new recruits reflects the state administration’s commitment to strengthening the justice system, which is viewed as the pillar of law and order in society.
Kano Employs Largest Number of State Counsel Since 1967
He emphasized that Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf firmly believes in the intrinsic value and impact of the justice system on various developmental outcomes.
These outcomes include economic growth, poverty reduction, peace, conflict resolution, and building trust in governance institutions.
The Governor’s vision is to make the Kano State justice system a model for Nigeria.
To achieve this vision, the new state counsel has been equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to make an immediate impact.
They are expected to excel in their roles, with no excuses or failure condoned.
