The Jigawa State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CC Bala Bawa, has said he has no regrets about being posted to the state as the 15th commandant, describing the assignment as a call to serve.
He stated this while speaking at the celebration of his 100 days in office as the New NSCDC state commandant held at the command headquarters, Dutse.

He said he finds the state as one of the most peaceful states in the country despite some security agencies, including farmers and herdsman clashes, Vandalism, theft, armed robbery and kidnapping.
He explained that upon his deployment to the state, he introduced various strategies that helped in enhancing the security situation of the state.
According to him,” my deployment to Jigawa State has allowed me to contribute to the peace, unity and socio-economic stability in the state.

“Within these days, we have achieved in Beautification and painting of the state command, multiple arrests of higher profile suspects with recovery of stolen items, and Creation of the Takur site division”
“protection of critical infrastructures, crackdown on crimes, enhance interagency collaboration, protection of churches and mosques during worship”
He also commended the support of the state government, traditional rulers, sister security agencies and the media in strengthening synergy towards ensuring the safety of lives and property of its citizens.
Bodinga also urged the general public to support security agencies with vital information that will help in preventing crimes and criminality.
Speaking on behalf of the Jigawa State Governor, Special Advisor to the Governor on security, Usman Muhammad Jahun, commended the commandant for his giant strides within his 100 days in office.
