The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has secured a bench warrant against Jubrin Buba, a staff member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), for failing to appear in court.

This development comes after Buba refused to show up for his arraignment, despite being duly notified .
Buba is facing a six-count charge of forgery and false statements, specifically for presenting a fake Bachelor’s degree certificate in Public Administration, allegedly issued by the University of Jos, to secure his job at the NSCDC in 2015 .

ICPC urges journalists to report issues that promote development
The presiding judge, Honourable Justice Binta Dogonyaro, has adjourned the matter until March 4, 2025, for Buba’s arraignment and hearing.
