Troops of 1 Brigade, Sector 2 Operation Fansan Yamma have dealt a significant blow to terrorist operations in Zamfara State, apprehending a 25-year-old ammunition courier, Shamsiyya Ahadu, and her accomplice, Ahmed Husaini.

The suspects were caught on December 28, 2024, in the Badarawa area of Shinkafi Local Government Area, with 764 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and 6 magazines intended for notorious terrorist kingpin Bello Turji’s camp.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, Coordinator of the Joint Media Coordinating Centre, Operation Fansan Yamma, the arrest was made possible by an intelligence report regarding the movement of terrorist logistics in the area.
Troops promptly established a roadblock, leading to the successful apprehension of the suspects. Both Shamsiyya and Ahmed are currently undergoing investigation by the relevant authorities.
