The national association of women Journalists (NAWOJ),has organized a special Ramadan lecture for female journalists in Kano.
Speaking at the lecture, the NAWOJ National Secretary Wasila Ibrahim Ladan said the annual lecture which was the first of its kind was aimed at bringing female journalists together and upholding the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

She stressed that participants were enlightened by ulamas on various religious teachings which would go a long way in promoting their belief and day-to-day activities.
The Hisbah commander Dawakin Kudu local government area, Hajiya Saratu Sheik Nasiru Kabara highlighted the importance of adherence to the teachings of the prophet Muhammad (SAW), saying that Islam is a religion of peace and whoever abides would find lasting tranquillity.
She urged Muslims to pray for lasting peace and stability in the country, which would go a long way in promoting peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding between people.
Paradigm news reports that the special Ramadan lecture witnessed a large turnout of Journalists, the state NUJ chairman Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, managing director Abubakar Rimi television (ARTV), Managing director Kano state radio corporation, permanent secretary ministry of information, among others.
