The Commissioner, Ministry of Women, Children and the Disabled, Hajiya Aisha Saji Rano, has taken the lead to congratulate Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on the new Islamic year and to wish him blessings throughout the year.

A statement by the director of public enlightenment of the ministry Aishatu Haruna and made available to journalists in Kano.

The statement explained that the Commissioner wished the governor “an Islamic year full of Allah’s favour, blessings, bumper harvest, divine intervention and general successss”.

She further prayed, “may each step you take into the new Muslim calendar year take you up the ladder of success and political accomplishment”.

The Commissioner described the occasion as God’s given opportunity for prayers, also urged Muslims in the state to pray for bumper harvest, general peace and overall success for the administration of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

According to her, “as true Muslims who believe in the supremacy of Allah and power of prayers, we always support and back up our actions with submissive prayers for Allah’s guidance in our personal and official engagements”.

Hajiya Aisha also used the opportunity to send a good will message to the National leader of NNPP Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.

“who is relentless in his efforts to sustain a government in place that means we’ll for the people of Kano”

She said as a focused and intelligent leader who has the tested capacity, what Dr. Kwankwaso requires now is prayers from like minds for the actualization of his future political ambition”.

She therefore, urged Muslims to pray for the actualization of this ambition as they mark the beginning of a new Islamic year today.

Also contained in the press release were similar messages to the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdul Salam Gwarzo, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Bappa Bichi, the Chief of Staff, Government House Kano, Shehu Wada Sagagi, commissioners, NNPP Members of the State and National Assembly, NNPP state leadership and Yardaddun Matan Kwankwasiyya.

Hajiya Aisha who also wished staff and management of her ministry a prosperous new Islamic year, further charged returning pilgrims from the Holy Land to use their new state of acquired purity to include everyone in their prayers for good health, success and peace as they embark on their journey back home.

She then used the opportunity to advise women as natural caregivers to children, men and others, to take extra precautionary hygienic measures to evade fast-spreading cases of infectious diseases.

She also used the occasion to pray for the actualization of the political ambitions of both Governor Yusuf and Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.
