The Zamfara State House of Assembly has approved the extension of Six months tenure for Fourteen Local governments Interim Administrators in the State.
This was sequel to a report presentation by an adhoc Committee led by the Deputy Speaker Adamu Aliyu Gummi.
All the Fourteen Local government Interim Administrators appeared before the Committee for Screening and confirmation.
Recall that on the 24/04/2024, Governor Dauda Lawal Sent a letter seeking the House to screen and confirm the Interim Administrators for another 6 months as required by the Law.
Which necessitated the House under the leadership of its Speaker Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki to invite all the Councils Interim Administrators for Cross-examination to ensure Justice and Fairness in the Confirmation Process.
After careful deliberations, the house unanimously approved and confirmed the extension of tenure by Six Months as requested by the State Governor Dauda Lawal.
Speaker Isma’il Moriki Charged the Interim Administrators to Justify the Confidence reposed on them by ensuring good and quality leadership in their various Local Government Areas.
