During the meeting, Commissioner Waiya emphasized the crucial role of property agents in safeguarding the state’s security and economy.
He expressed concerns over cases where individuals rent or purchase properties for unlawful activities, highlighting the need for a legal framework to guide the operations of real estate agents and landlords.
The Commissioner also assured that the government is committed to working with stakeholders to ensure proper regulation of property transactions in the state.
He highlighted that, the Ministry of Information has a dedicated Department of Internal Affairs, responsible for engaging with associations whose activities impact the public directly.
The Chairman of the Kano Property Agents and Development Association, Alhaji Isa Jibrin Isa, commended the Commissioner for his commitment to improving the sector.

He pledged the association’s full support in collaborating with the government to sanitize the industry, ensuring transparency and compliance with security measures.
