The Kannywood industry has lost a shining star – El-Mu’az Muhammad Birniwa.The renowned Hausa singer collapsed while playing football in Kaduna on Wednesday and sadly passed away at the hospital.
His funeral prayer is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. today at Zangon Daura mosque in Kaduna.

El-Mu’az was a highly respected figure in the industry, known for his incredible contributions to Kannywood.

His passing has sent shockwaves, with many personalities expressing their condolences.
Ali Nuhu, Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation, described him as a “brother and a talent that will be deeply missed.” Falalu Dorayi, a producer and director, praised El-Mu’az as a “true professional who touched many lives through his craft.”

Aminu Ladan Abubakar also paid tribute, saying that while the void he leaves behind will be hard to fill, his legacy will live on through his music and contributions to the industry.
El-Mu’az’s passing is a great loss, but his memory and impact will undoubtedly continue to inspire and influence the Kannywood industry
