    Federal lawmaker representing Gaya Ajingi and Albasu Dr. mustapha Tijjani Ghali says he has mapped out several initiatives aimed at ensuring that his constituents enjoy the dividend of democracy.

    Dr. Ghali stated this during a media parley held in Kano.

    Tarauni Lawmaker Commends KNSG for Women Empowerment

    According to him, he has provided fully funded scholarship opportunities to 60 female students in health related courses to bridge the gap in health personnel deficiency.

    He said in addition to that, three establishment bills had scaled 3rd reading on the floor of the house and will be transmitted to the Senate for proper legislative action.

    Albasu Lawmaker Commends KNSG For Adequate Water Supply

    Dr. Ghali maintained that, as part of efforts to uplift the standard of education, he has constructed classes across forum schools in Gaya, Ajingi and Albasu, in addition to the construction of 7 solar-powered boreholes with over 20 million litre capacity to alleviate water scarcity in Gaya LGA.

    Kano Lawmakers Reject Controversial Tax Reform Bill

    The lawmaker highlighted that other interventions in the education sector include the introduction of homeschooling curricula to enable parents to tutor their children at home as the government alone cannot provide all the necessary infrastructure for learning due to the large population.

    He explained that farmers also benefitted from fertilizer, improved seeds and insecticides to ensure food security in the area.

    Other interventions by Dr Ghali include securing employment in the Nigerian police force, civil defence, army, Navy short service and the federal medical centre.

    The lawmaker hinted that women and youths were trained on various vocational skills and provided with sewing and grinding machines as well as other empowerment packages to make them self-reliant.

    Speaking on how he gets across to his constituents, Dr Ghali noted since his election as a member representing Gaya Ajingi and Albasu, coordinators have been appointed across the 30 wards across the 30 LGAs.

    He commended Senator Engineer Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso for his leadership which has taken the NNPP to greater heights.

    Dr. Ghali described him as a great leader who is working tirelessly for the development of Kano state and the country in General.
