    Grid Collapse: Nigeria Experiences 1st Major Power Outage in 2025

    Nigeria’s national power grid has suffered its first major collapse of 2025, resulting in a nationwide blackout just 10 days into the new year.

    This marks the 13th grid failure in the last 13 months, raising concerns about the stability of the power supply .

    According to reports, electricity generation dropped significantly, from 2,111.01 megawatts at 2 p.m. to 390.20 MW by 3 p.m.
