The Kano State Honourable Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, paid a courtesy visit to the Saudi Arabian Consulate in Kano.

During the visit, he met with Deputy Council General Ustazh Bashir Khalifah Al’anazi and introduced the Ministry’s mandate, mission, and vision, highlighting the administration’s commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals.
Commissioner Kibiya appealed for support from the Saudi Consulate, citing Kano State’s large population of over 20 million people, including those in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps.

Responding Sheikh Ustadz Bashir pledged to assist the state government in supporting vulnerable populations and promised to help with the distribution of Ramadan food items and other activities.
In another development, Commissioner Kibiya received a courtesy call from the CEO of 9ja Food Fiesta, Mr. Mustapha Mohd, who proposed a collaboration between the Ministry and 9ja Food Fiesta to sponsor 2,000 vulnerable individuals in their training program.
