Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has announced that the establishment of five Mini Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plants in Ajaokuta will position Kogi as a leading energy hub in Nigeria.
NNPC, BUA Group Seal Deal on 45mmscf Mini-LNG Plant
The plants, being developed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and its private sector partners, will have a combined production capacity of over 80 million cubic feet per day.
Governor Ododo described the LNG plants as a transformative investment that will stimulate economic activities in the state, create job opportunities, and improve energy access.

The Governor commended President Bola Tinubu for his dedication to Nigeria’s energy transition and for mobilizing NNPC Limited and its private sector partners to establish the LNG plants in Ajaokuta.
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpo Ekpo, credited President Tinubu’s executive order for fast-tracking the development of the LNG plants.
