The Management of Kano Pillars Football Club has announced the immediate suspension of the club’s Technical Adviser, Ogenyi Evans, and Chief Coach, Ahmed Garba (Yaro Yaro), citing the team’s disappointing start to the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
In a statement issued by the club, the management said the decision followed a series of underwhelming results that fell short of the expectations of both fans and stakeholders.

So far, the Sai Masu Gida have played eight matches, securing only two wins, two draws, and four losses a performance the club described as unsatisfactory for a team of its calibre.
In the interim, former club captain and assistant coach, Gambo Muhammad, will take charge of the team’s technical duties alongside goalkeeping coach, Suleiman Shuaibu, while Coach Garzali Muhammad (Kusa) from the Junior Pillars will join the technical crew in an ad-hoc capacity pending further directives.
