The Kano State House of Assembly Committee on Housing has embarked on a comprehensive oversight visit to major housing and commercial infrastructure projects being executed by the Kano State Housing Corporation (KSHC), reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability, and quality service delivery.
The delegation, led by the Committee Chairman and Member representing Kumbotso Constituency, Alhaji Mudassir Ibrahim Zawaciki, toured several ongoing and completed project sites.

The lawmakers were accompanied by the Managing Director of the KSHC, Alhaji Abdullahi Rabiu, the Deputy Managing Director, Engr. Isyaku Umar Kwa, and other key directors of the Corporation.
Zawaciki said the visit was aimed at assessing the level of progress, identifying challenges, and strengthening collaboration between the Legislature and the Housing Corporation to enhance project delivery across the state.
He noted that the Committee was impressed with the level of work done, describing the projects as a reflection of the State Government’s commitment to reducing housing deficits and expanding access to dignified and affordable accommodation for residents.

The Committee further pledged continued legislative support through policy formulation, oversight, and timely interventions to ensure the completion of all ongoing projects.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of the KSHC, Alhaji Abdullahi Rabiu, provided detailed updates on each project, outlining achievements as well as challenges relating to funding, contractor compliance, and timelines.
The oversight visit, he noted, is vital to ensuring that public resources are judiciously utilized and that the objectives of the State Government’s housing initiatives are fully realized.
