The Executive Chairman of Gwarzo LGA, Dr. Mani Tsoho, has condemned the night attack carried out by armed men in Kururawa community and has led a delegation of senior government officials to condole with the people of Lakwaya Ward.
According to reports from residents, the attackers invaded the community at night, opened fire, and killed one person.

They also abducted Alhaji Yakubu of Tsohuwa Kururawa, leaving the community in fear and distress.
During the visit, Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and assured residents that the Local Government will intensify security efforts and take urgent measures to safeguard lives and property.
The Chairman was accompanied by members of the Gwarzo Legislative Council, the Local Government Secretary and his Deputy, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), officials of the DSS, Immigration Service, Civil Defense Corps, and heads of other security agencies demonstrating the government’s strong commitment to protecting the area.

Security officials at the visit confirmed that additional security measures have been activated, including enhanced surveillance and intelligence gathering, to prevent a recurrence of such attacks.
They also urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements or activities.
Speaking during the visit, Fati, daughter of the abducted Alhaji Yakubu, recounted how the kidnappers stormed their home and took her father away.
She appealed to authorities to intensify efforts to ensure his safe release.
Community leaders expressed appreciation for the prompt government response, noting that the visit brought comfort and reassurance during this difficult period.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo prayed for God’s mercy upon the deceased and asked for divine intervention for the safe return of Alhaji Yakubu.
He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Lakwaya Ward community.
