The Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB) has denied reports circulating on social media alleging that a classroom at LEA Primary School, Badikko was converted into a poultry facility by the Head Teacher.
In a statement signed by Hauwa Mohammed, the Board described the claims as inaccurate and a gross misrepresentation of facts.
KADSUBEB explained that the activity in question is part of the Agric Education Training Programme (AETP), a structured school-based skills acquisition initiative under the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
The programme is designed to introduce pupils to foundational agricultural practices, entrepreneurship, and practical life skills that complement formal classroom instruction.
The Board clarified that the poultry component is not located in any active teaching classroom and is conducted under strict staff supervision, following hygiene and safety protocols to preserve the integrity of the learning environment.
“KADSUBEB will not allow deliberate distortions to undermine credible educational interventions aimed at equipping our pupils with hands-on skills,” the statement said. The Board also confirmed that a verification process has begun to reaffirm full compliance with infrastructure guidelines, health protocols, and pupil welfare standards.
KADSUBEB warned that individuals or groups spreading false information with the intent to discredit the Board or create unnecessary controversy may face legal action.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to safe, clean, and conducive learning spaces across all public basic education schools in Kaduna State.
