The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) at the Authority’s Headquarters in Abuja.
During the visit, both organisations renewed their commitment to sustained collaboration aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s energy security, promoting national prosperity, and delivering on the Presidential mandate to boost oil production, gas utilisation, expand refining capacity, and attract investment.
Engr. Ojulari highlighted that NNPC Ltd’s strategic focus is anchored on disciplined execution and operational excellence, with profitability serving as the guiding principle of the company’s commercial operations. He also outlined the 2026 NNPC Gas Master Plan as a deliberate intervention to stimulate increased gas off-take and deepen value creation across the downstream value chain.
Responding, NMDPRA Chief Executive, Engr. Saidu Aliyu Mohammed, reaffirmed the Authority’s partnership with NNPC Ltd to drive initiatives that enhance Nigeria’s energy security. He commended the launch of the NNPC Gas Master Plan 2026, noting that while gas remains a cleaner transition fuel for the country, a balanced energy mix is crucial to meeting Nigeria’s growing energy demand.
The meeting highlighted a shared commitment between NNPC Ltd and NMDPRA to leverage strategic collaboration in achieving operational efficiency, energy sustainability, and national economic growth.
