The Kano State Government has approved the early payment of March 2026 salaries for civil servants to enable them prepare for the forthcoming Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf directed the immediate release and payment of the salaries to all state civil servants ahead of the Sallah festivities.
The Acting Head of Service, Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, disclosed this in a statement issued by the Office of the Head of Service in Kano.
According to her, the directive was aimed at enabling workers to prepare adequately for the celebration of the Eid el-Fitr in a convenient and dignified manner.
She explained that the early payment demonstrates the administration’s commitment to the welfare of civil servants and its appreciation of their dedication and contributions to the development of the state.
Maimota also called on civil servants to utilise the gesture responsibly while maintaining commitment, discipline and efficiency in the discharge of their duties to enhance service delivery across the state.
The state government further reaffirmed its resolve to continue implementing policies that promote workers’ welfare and improve productivity within the civil service.
The statement was signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment in the Office of the Head of Service.
