Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has approved a reduction in official working hours for civil servants in Jigawa State throughout the 2025 Ramadan fast.
This was contained in a statement signed by the State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, and issued to newsmen.
Ramadan: Adamawa State Adjusts Tricycle Movement Restrictions
According to him the state civil servants will now work from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, instead of the usual 5:00 PM closing time.
While on Fridays, work hours will be from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, in line with existing practice.
He said , the adjustment is aimed at easing the burden on civil servants, allowing them more time to prepare for iftar and actively participate in the spiritual activities of Ramadan.

“It is hoped that civil servants will use this period to pray for God’s guidance and blessings for our state,” he stated.
The statement further urged workers to seize the opportunity to pray for peace, stability, and economic prosperity in Jigawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
