President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians of his administration’s determination to deliver far-reaching reforms aimed at strengthening the nation’s healthcare system.

The President gave the assurance while receiving the leadership of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) led by its President, Prof. Bala Mohammed Audu, at his official residence in Abuja.

During the visit, Prof. Audu commended President Tinubu for what he described as a visionary healthcare reform agenda and praised his administration’s prompt interventions in resolving issues that could have disrupted industrial harmony in the sector.

He also urged the President to ensure the timely and full implementation of agreements already reached with the Association, especially the recently approved Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which he described as a milestone achievement.

According to him, the CBA will not only improve the welfare of healthcare workers but also help tackle the growing challenge of brain drain, popularly referred to as the “Japa” syndrome.
