The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Kano State Chapter is deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred in Jigawa State, resulting in the loss of about 140 lives and leaving 50 others injured.
Our hearts go out to the victims and their families during this difficult time.

The explosion of a petrol tanker, caused by the dangerous act of scooping fuel at the scene of the fallen tanker, has brought immense sorrow and pain to the people Miajia, Taura local government, Jigawa State and Nigeria in general.

We stand in solidarity with the government of Jigawa state, the bereaved families of the victims of the explosion and also pray for quick recovery of those who sustained various degrees of injuries.
